1/5/1920 - 11/22/1983 Mrs. Edna Annie Hanus, 63, died Tuesday evening in Memorial Hospital, following a sudden illness. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday at Galloway and Sons Chapel in George West. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. George Catholic Church in George West, with Father William DeAngelis, O.S.B., officiating. Burial will be in the St. George Cemetery. The body will lie in state at Galloway and Sons Chapel in Beeville until 2 p.m. Thursday. Mrs. Hanus was born Jan. 5, 1920, in Cuero to Annie (Kalich) and Joseph Macha. A resident of Live Oak County for 25 years, she was a housewife and a member of the St. George Altar Society. She married Paul Hanus on Sept. 23, 1942, in Live Oak County. Survivors include her husband, Paul Hanus of George West; one daughter, Mrs. Janice McMahon of San Antonio; two sons, David Hanus of Katy and Michael Hanus of Kingsville; one brother, William Joseph Macha of Yoakum, four sisters, Mrs. Louise Hanus of Olmos, Mrs. Stella Trlica of Sinton, Mrs. Leona Sumbrea (sic) of Victoria and Mrs. Pauline Nesloney of Annaville; and three grandchildren, Michelle Marie McMahon, James Michael McMahon and Paul Brandon Hanus.
