George West -- Paul J. Hanus, a retired oilfield gauger and justice of the peace, died Feb. 5, 1993. He was 76.

Survivors include a daughter, Janice McMahon of Converse, two sons, David Hanus of Aransas Pass and Mike Hanus of Green River, Wyo; a sister, Elsie Diebel of Sinton, a brother, Alton Hanus of Waco, and six grandchildren.

Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Feb. 8 at Galloway & Sons chapel, George West. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Feb. 9 at St. George Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. George Catholic Cemetery, George West.
