Victoria Advocate October 25, 2002 Johnny Frank Kabela, 67, of Victoria, died Thursday, Oct. 24, 2002. He was born Nov. 16, 1934, in Victoria, to Lydia Lesikar Kabela of Victoria and the late Fred Kabela. He was a carpenter for Brown & Root and H. B. Zachary. He was a member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church and the Lone Tree Volunteer Fire Department. He was a member of the SPJST and Hermann Sons. He was an officer for RVOS Insurance and was an U.S. Army veteran. Survivors: wife, Marilyn Hopmann Kabela; daughters, Cindy Budaus and Kim Clifton, both of Victoria; son, Craig Kabela of Victoria; sisters, Evelyn Horelka and Edna Mae Matula, both of Victoria; brother, Edward Kabela of Victoria; and six grandchildren. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. tonight at Rosewood Funeral Chapels. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, the Rev. Bill Hassel officiating.
