Victoria Advocate September 18, 2002 El Campo - Mary Kacal, 82, of El Campo, died Monday, Sept. 16, 2002. She was born Aug. 13, 1920, in El Campo, to Frances Labay Dornak of El Campo and the late Theophile Dornak. She was a homemaker and a Catholic. She was a member of the KJZT and of the Catholic Daughters of America. Survivors: mother; daughters, Betty Leopold of Nada, Julie Fenn of Boling, Mary Harell of Weimer and Bonnie Guynes of Clute; sons, Frank Kacal and Michael Kacal, both of El Campo, David Kacal of North pole, Ala. and Daniel Kacal of Midfield; sisters, Anne Kness of Bellville and Dorothy Viktorin of Wharton; 25 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Preceded in death by: husband, Willie "Bill" Kacal; sons, Robert Kacal and Roland Kacal; father; and brother, Clement "Sonny" Dornak. Visitation will begin 10 a.m. Thursday at Triska Funeral Home chapel. A wake service will be 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home chapel. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at St. Philip's Catholic Church, the Rev. Ty Bazar officiating. Burial will be at Holy Cross Memorial Park. Triska Funeral Home, El Campo, 979-543-3681.
