Edmund Michael Kadlecek, born May 6, 1948 in Corpus Christi, Tx, and a resident of Porter, Tx, passed away September 5, 2004.

He served in the US Marine Cor. in Vietnam and worked at Smith International for over 30 years.

He was preceded in death by his father, Alfons Kadlecek; sister, Georgia; and brother, Bobby.

He is survived by his wife, Janice Kadlecek; daughter, Cynthia Sweeney; grandchildren, Lindsey, Aaron, Kenneth, and Shelby; mother, Mary Kadlecek; sisters, Agnes, Louise, Jeannie, Mary Jo, and Dorothy; brothers, Raymond and Joey.

Visitation will be from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m., Thursday, September 9, 2004, at Rosewood Funeral Home, Humble, with a rosary to be held at 7:00 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 10, 2004, at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, Humble, with interment to follow at Rosewood Memorial Park, Humble. Published in the Houston Chronicle on 9/8/2004.
