Dallas -- Betty Marie Kahanek, 92, of Dallas and formerly of Hallettsville, died Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2001.

She was born March 10, 1908, in Fayetteville, to the late Joe and Mary Hrtus Lacina.

Survivors: daughter, Shirley Ann Kauffmann of Fort Worth; son, Albert William Kahanek Jr. of Dallas; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: husband, Albert William Kahanek; daughter, Josephine Marie Webb; parents.

A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Friday at Kubena Funeral Home chapel.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Church in Hallettsville, the Rev. Robert Knippenberg officiating.

Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hallettsville. Kubena Funeral Home, Hallettsville, 361-798-3271.
