CHARLES KAHLDEN

We are gathered here this afternoon to pay our final tributes to Mr. Charles Kahlden, whose breath of life expired Monday, February 17th, at 2:20 a.m.

Mr. Kahlden was born September 30, 1876 near La Grange, Texas to Hans and Christiana Hiene Kahlden. He was married to Miss Minna Brandt on January 3, 1899 at Holman, Texas. They lived the first two years of their married life at Holman and then moved to Osage, where they spent the remaining 63 years. He was a farmer all his life. These 65 years of married life brought much to Mr. and Mrs. Kahlden. 9 children (6 boys and 3 girls) were given to them. Along with these children, he is also survived by 31 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Joe (Lily) Freis of Weimar
Grandchildren - 31
Great Grandchildren - 49
Sister - Mrs. Eva Brandt of Columbus
Half-Sisters - Mrs. Hazel Chaffin of Brownwood
Mrs. Annie Hines of California
Mrs. Jessie Hunt of Vernon
Mrs. Ella Thompson of Farwell
Half-Brother - Mr. Dee Kahlden of Ryan, Oklahoma

One half-sister preceded him in death.

87 years, 4 months and 17 days
