Fayette County Record July 10, 1998 Abstract of Obituary. Funeral services for Ella A. Kalisek, 92, of Houston, formerly of LaGrange were held July 9 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The Rev. Msgr. Harry Mazurkiewicz officiated with burial in Zsetin Cemetery near Hallettsville. Mrs. Kalisek died July 7 in Houston. She was born Sept. 15, 1904 near Hallettsville, the daughter of Thomas and Annie (Mikush) Holly. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, LaGrange. Surviving are two daughters, Elsie Walla and her husband Lad and Marilyn DeMarco, all of Houston; two sons, Jerome Kalisek of Chicago and Eugene Kalisek and his wife Julia of Houston; one daughter-in-law, Vada Jo Kalisek of Houston; 22 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son James Kalisek, one grandson Mike Demarco, one great-grandson, 3 sisters, 4 brothers and 3 half brothers. Koenig-Peel & Strickland Funeral Home was in charge of arrangement.
