No Paper Frances (Kolek) Kallus, 95, of Hostyn died Sunday morning, March 27 at Fayette Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 30 at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Hostyn with the Rev. Msgr. Stanley Petru officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. Kallus was born March 1, 1910 in Hostyn, the daughter of John and Maria (Dlouhy) Kolek. She married Richard F. Kallus on Oct. 24, 1933 in Hostyn. She was a homemaker, member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Hostyn, the C.D.A. and Christian Mothers’s Organization, and the Living Rosary Society. Survivors include: six daughters, Margaret Lamon of LaCoste, Alice Chovanec and husband Frank of Houston, Monica Spacek and husband Riney of dime Box, Mary Baca and husband J.R. and Helen Faldyn and husband Clarence, all of La Grange, and Bibiana Demel and husband Wilbert of High Hill; two sons, Benedict Kallus and wife Dianna of La Grange and Michael Kallus and wife Gladys of Austin; son-in-law, Ralph Goerig and wife Cathy of La Grange; 33 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, four stepgrandchildren, one stepgreat-grandchild; one brother, Frank Kolek of Weimar; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Sisters Martha and Helen Kallus of Naperville, Ill., Josie Kallus of Ammannsville, Jerry Kallus and wife Ann of La Grange, and Eddie Kallus and wife Janie of Navosota. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Maria (Dlouhy) Kolek; daughter, Rita Goerig; son-in-law Patrick Lamon; granddaughters, Donna Goerig, and Cindy Spacek; grandson Gerals Lamon; great-granddaughter Nicole Goerig; two sisters, Mary Kozel, Agnes Kaspar; and four brothers, Rev. Charles Kolek, John, Joseph, and Anton Kolek. Memorials are suggested to Holy Rosary Catholic Church building fund or St. Mark’s Hospital chapel fund.
