Abstract of Obituary.

Funeral services for Claudie Kalmus were held June 22 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The Rev. Msgr. Harry Mazurkiewicz officiated with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, Ellinger.

Mrs. Kalmus died in Wharton. Born in Fayetteville April 21, 1913, Mrs. Kalmus was the daughter of the late Adolph and Mary (Minarcik) Kasmiersky. She was united in marriage with Walter Kalmus Sr., June 28, 1933 in Ellinger. Mrs. Kalmus was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Alice and her husband, Delton Stoelke of Katy and Mary Jane Raye of Washington; two sons Silvin and his wife Mary Ann Kalmus and Florian and his wife Linda Kalmus, all of Wharton; one daughter-in-law, Gladys and her husband Frank Michulka of Shiner; one brother, Adolph Kasmiersky and his wife Loraine of Houston; sisters-in-law, Mary Kasmiersky of Fayettteville, Mary Kalmus of Ellinger and Dottie Kasmiersky of Pasadena; 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Kalmus Sr.; a son, Walter Kalmus Jr. and a grandson.

Koenig-Peel & Strickland Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
