Fayette County Record page 14 December 18, 2001 Funeral services for Vlasta M. Kaluza, 83, of La Grange, were held Saturday, December 15 at 10AM in Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rev Msgr Harry Mazurkiewicz officiating. Burial followed in La Grange City Cemetery. Mrs.Kaluza died Dec 12, 2001 in La Grange. She was born on December 6, 1918 in Rabbs Prairie the daughter of George Hrbacek, Jr. and Hermina Konvicka Hrbacek. She married Herbert W. Kaluza on May 9, 1955, in La Grange. She was a homemaker and worked as a waitress at Cottonwood Inn for over 35 years. She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Plum. Survivors include her daughter, Becky Ordiway and fiance' Clinton Taylor III of La Grange; son and daughter-in-law, Bruce Kaluza and Lynette Hendricks of Coppell; one brother, Raymond Hrbacek of La Grange; one sister, Clara Hrbacek of La Grange; four granddaughters, Caitlin Kaluza and Ellen Kaluza of Coppell; Ashley and Chelsea Ordiway of La Grange; two grandsons, Kevin and Michael Ordiway of La Grange; nieces and nephews, Linda and Butch Karstedt of La Grange, Pat Vecera of Austin, Susan and Ron Wall of La Grange, Daniel and Susan Vecera of La Grange and Donna and Red Mulholland; two great-nieces and three great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert; a son, Danny; parents; sister; brother; and nephew. Memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church or Altar Society. Koenig and Strickland Funeral Home of La Grange was in charge of arrangements.
