Fayette County Record pg 10 Feb 26 2002 Jerry A. Kana, 87, of La Grange and recently of Houston, died Feb 21 2002 in Houston. Funeral services were held Sat Feb 23 at 10 AM at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Hostyn with burial in the church cemetery. Rev Msgr Stanley Petru officiated. Born Sept 7 1914 in La Grange he was the son of John and Marie Hrachovy Kana. He married Clara Kloesel Sept 23 1940 in Hostyn. He was a retired farmer and house mover and member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Hostyn. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Clara Kloesel Kana of Dubina and now of Houston; one daughter, Linda Burch and husband William E. of Houston; and two grandchildren, Brian Ritchey of College Station and Lisa Ritchey of Houston; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters and his parents. Koenig and Strickland Funeral Home of La Grange was in charge of arrangements.
