Burial followed at St Anthony's Catholic Cemetery in Columbus. Kansteiner died Aug 8 at Columbus Community Hospital in Columbus. She was born Nov 21, 1922 in Frelsburg, Tx, the daughter of Julius and Mary (Schertz) Gerstmann. Kansteiner was united in marriage with Homer Kansteiner on Oct 10,1945. She was a housewife and was affiliated with St Anthony's Catholic Church. She also was a member of Catholic Daughters of America, Court # 1588. Kansteiner was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 sisters, Wilhelmina Grayson and Katherine Bertsch, and 2 brothers, Anton and Walter Geistmann. Survivors include 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Diana and Albert "Pete" Foster, of Columbus and Patricia and Thomas Supak of Brenham, 2 sisters, Bertha Zubicek of Cat Spring and Caroline Moeller of Frelsburg, and 4 grandchildren, Abbigail Foster, and Corey, Ryan and Matthew Supak.
