Published in the Tooele Utah Transcript- Bulletin 25 May 1989. Ben F. Kaspar, age 73, died May 23 1989 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born October 3, 1915 in Jarrell, Texas to Joseph R. Kaspar and Francis Mrazek Kaspar. He married Pearl Dornhoefer on April 15, 1943 in Valdosta, Georgia. He served in the US Army Air Force in the Pacific during WWII. He was a retired aircraft mechanic for the US Air Force. He was a member of the American Legion and the Slavonic Benevolent Order of the State of Texas. He enjoyed farming, ranching and the outdoors. He was a member of the Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, Pearl Kaspar, of Tooele; a son and daughter in law, Larry and Jill Kasper of Tooele; granddaughter Emily Erin of Tooele; brothers, Rudolf Kasper and Henry Kasper of Victoria,Texas and a sister, Betty Maxwell, of Brownsville, Texas. He is preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley Ann, and five brothers and sisters. Funeral will be held Wednesday, May 31 in the St. James Catholic Church, Seguin, Texas. Friends may call at Tate Mortuary on Friday from 7 to 8 p.m. Interment will be in the St. James Catholic Church Cemetery in Seguin.
