Houston -- Johnny "John" Joe Kaspar, 81, of Houston, died Sunday, April 21, 2002.

He was born July 23, 1920, in Ganado.

Survivors: daughters, Mary Ann Kaspar Rader of Houston and Carolyn Kaspar Grant of Cumming, Ga.; sons, Johnny "J.C." Christi Kaspar of Flower Mound and Steven Allan Kaspar of South Houston; sister, Norma Liberda of Ganado; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be 3 p.m. today at South Park Funeral Home chapel. South Park Funeral Home, 1310 N. Main St., Pearland, 281-458-2711.

Mr. Johnny "John" Joe Kaspar passed away on April 21, 2002 at the age of 81 years.

John was born July 23, 1920 in Ganada, Texas to Joe Frank and Mary Frances Kaspar. He was a man of many talents and was a proud member of the class of 1943 at Texas A&M.

He is survived by his daughters, Mary Ann Kaspar of Houston, and Carolyn Kaspar Grant and her husband Tom of Cumming, Georgia; sons, Johnny "J.C." Christi Kaspar and his wife Pamela of Flower Mound (Dallas), Texas and Steven Allan Kaspar of South Houston, Texas; grandchildren, Holly Rader Herr and her husband, David of Montgomery,Texas; Michael Galen Rader of LaPorte, Texas, Ginny Rader Semora and husband Sean of Magnolia, Texas, Russel Rader of Tampa, Florida, Allison Kaspar Bagley and husband Pete of Dallas, Texas, and Johnny C. Kaspar Jr. and wife, Kathy of Mt. Carmel, Ohio; great grandchildren, Kathrine Burns, Victoria Bagley, and Adam Bagley; and sister, Norma Liberda of Ganado, Texas.

Friends and family will gather for visitation on Wednesday, April 24, 2002 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at South Park Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2002 at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.

In lieu of traditional floral remembrances contributions in John's memory may be made to Texas A&M University Association of Former Students, 505 George Bush Drive College Station, Texas 77840 or the charity of choice.
