The Taylor Tribune Taylor, Texas October 11, 2001 Mildred Agnes Kaspar, 86 of Taylor, died Friday, September 28, 2001 at Park Place Care Center in Georgetown after a long encounter with Alzheimer's disease. Born in Taylor October 21, 1914, she was the daughter of Cyril and Frances (Pavelka) Polasek. On September 20, 1937 she married Elick Jerry Kaspar who preceded her in death earlier this month on September 4, 2001. Her parents, four sister, and four brothers also preceded her in death. Mildren was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. A petite lady with a constant sile that denoted her sunny, optimistic disposition, she faithfully practiced her Christian beliefs throughout her life. Her diminutive size disguised the strength she possessed as she worked side by side as a partner and loving companion to her husband on her beloved farm. Mildren was a true homemaker. Pround of her Czech heritage, she cooked and baked traditional Czech dishes and pastries for her family and friends to enjoy. She would listen to and sing Czech music as she worked. She was an excellent cook, an avid gardener, and an accomplished seamstress. Mildred was a lifelong resident of Taylor, a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, KJZT, and St. Ann's Altar Society. Suvivors include three daughters; Mary Elizabeth Kallus and husband, Ted of Georgetown, Barbara Jean Dale and husband, Sidney Wayne of Taylor, and Elaine Jane Klaus and husband, Herbert of Georgetown, granddaughters; Patsy Shirocky and husband Mitchell, L'Tisha Carpenter and husband Wayne, grandsons; Patrick Kallus and wife Kari, James Lantzsch, Todd Lantzsch, Herbert Klaus, Jr. and wife, Lori, Ted John Kallus, wife Brenda, and Kendall Wayne Kalus, one brother Jerry Polasek, 10 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Rosary was prayed Monday, October 1, 2001 at 7pm at Condra Memorial Chapel. Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 2, 2001, at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Msgr. Lonnie Urban officiating. Burial followed at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. All of her grandsons were pallbearers and her great grandchildren will be honorary pallbearers.
