A well known Mt. Olive settler, Joseph Kasparek, 80, died at his home May 16.

His funeral follwed Monday, May 18, Father Kolodzie officiation, with burial at the Sweet Home Catholic Cemetery.

Born at Fayetteville, Kasparek lived at the Mt. Olive community for 68 years.

His wife, the former Anna Prochazka, preceded him in death in 1947.

Surviving the father is one son, Oscar of Shiner, with grandson, William of Shiner, and one granddaughter, Mrs. Henry (Joyce) Hajek of Austin.
