Mrs. Isolde Macha, aged 76 years, 9 months and 26 days, passed from this life at a hospital in San Antonio, at 10:10 a.m. Tuesday, August 15, 1939, following an illness of several months. Mrs. Macha was born in Fayetteville, Texas, October 19, 1862, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Wiedeman. In 1879 she was confirmed in the First Lutheran Church at Black Jack Springs, Rev. Suess being the pastor, and had been a faithful member of that church since. In 1903 she was united in Marriage to Mr. Joe J. Macha, at Hallettsville, Texas, Mr. Macha preceding her in death in 1918 (sic) in Shiner. [1918 crossed out with pencil and May 18, 1919 written in on the margin] Surviving are: one brother, Harry Wiedemann of Flatonia; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Kloss, Flatonia, and Mrs. F. P. Luck, Shiner; seven step-sons, Willie Macha of Yoakum, Louis Macha of Gonzales, Albert Macha of Corpus Christi, Alex Macha of Taft, Ed Macha of Shiner, Frank Macha of Waco, and Joe Macha of Seymour. Several nephews, nieces and other relatives also survive. Funeral services were held at the home of her sister, Mrs. F. P. Luck of Shiner, at 4 p.m. Wednesday, August 16, Rev. A. Guyon, pastor of the Hallettsville Methodist Church officiating. Interment was made in the Shiner City Cemetery. Our sincere sympathy is extended to the bereaved in their sorrow.
