Abstract of Obituary.

Services for William (Willie) Jerry "Bill" Macha, 88, of East Bernard were held Oct 24 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in East Bernard with the Rev Donald Ruppert officiating. Burial followed at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in East Bernard.

Macha died Oct 21 in Katy. He was born Nov 15, 1911, in Wallis, Tx, the son of Alois and Marie (Kameninicek) Macha. He was raised in Wallis and attended Guardian Angel Catholic School in Wallis and Central School in Krasna.

Macha was united in marriage with Louise Hlavinka on Oct 26, 1936 in East Bernard. He was a lifelong farmer and rancher and member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in East Bernard, KJT and Knights of Columbus in East Bernard.

Macha was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters, Emily Riha and Lydia and Betty Petrash; and 7 brothers, Anton, Louis, Frank, Emil, John, Richard and Jerry Macha.

Survivors include his wife, 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Lad and Brenda Macha of Houston, and Fred and Shirley Macha of East Bernard; 2 sisters; Cecilia Slivan of Fairchild, and Mary Kucera of East Bernard, and 3 grandchildren, April Macha of Houston, Scott Macha of Huntsville.

Pallbearers were Victor, Jerry, Scott and Jason Macha, Erwin Kucera and Clay Hlavinka.
