Craig Machac, 58, passed away Saturday, June 28, 1997. He was born May 22, 1939 in Yoakum, Texas. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Kathy, daughter, Lisa, brothers, Joe and Noel Machac, sister, Karen Duke, and sisters-in-law, Ella and Mary Ann Machac. He is also survived, and remembered fondly as "Uncle" by: Terry, Mark, Erica, Erin, Kristin, Jill, and Jared Machac; Donna Cowart; Nancy Durbin; Jessica, Jason, and Jonathan Duke; Misty Schwartz and Jeanne Wolk. After serving in the Texas National Guard, Craig began his career in the retail trade. He then worked in the boating industry before spending 17 years as a custom homebuilder and designer. A 25 year resident of Clear Lake Shores, Craig was an active and respected member fo the Bay Harbour United Methodist Church. One of Craig's favorite quotations empitomize the words that he lived by: "He has achieved success who has lived well, laughed often and loved much; who has gained the respect of the intelligent men and the love of little children; who has filled his niche and accomplished his task and left the world better than he found it." In lieu of the usual remembrances, the family would appreciate donations to Habitat for Humanity, Covenant House or a charity of choice. Visitation will be at the Jack Rowe Funeral Home from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, July 1, 1997. A memorial service is scheduled at Bay Harbour United Methodist Church at 7:00 pm, Wednesday, July 2, 1997 with a memorial celebration immediately following at Clear Lake Shores City Hall.
