Mission - Lillie Kremel Machac, 95, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2000, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen. She was born November 4, 1905 in Cistern, Texas. Lillie was a pioneer farmer's wife in the McCook area since 1931, married to Theodore F. Machac for 73 years. She was an active member of the Immaculate Conception Church and Altar Society. She helped establish the Valley District of the Catholic Family Fraternal of Texas KJZT. She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Frank Machac; two sons, Richard George and Frank David Machac; grandson, Richard George Machac, Jr. Surviving are three daughters, Ida Mae Keller of McCook, Evelyn (Albert) Kotara of McCook, Rosie Lee (Robert) Hommel of Raymondville; 22 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and one sister, Alice Gawlik of Mission. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. today, Thursday, Nov. 16, 2000, with a 7 p.m. Rosary at Virgil Wilson Memorial Chapel, Mission. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 17, 2000, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in McCook. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, David Machac, Daniel Keller, Bonny Ray Kotara, Stephen Hommel, Gregory Hommel, Michael Machac, George Keller, Frank Machac, Jr., Kenneth Hommel and Jeffrey Hommel. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen. Services are under the care of Virgil Wilson Mortuary, Mission.
