Alvin B. (Shorty) Machalec, 67, of Houston, passed away May 23, 1981.

Native of Ellinger, Tx. Veteran of W.W. II. Member of the Lutheran Church. He was retired after 33 years service as an engineer with the city of Houston.

Survivors: wife, Mrs. Beatrice Perkins Mahalec; sister, Miss Gladys Mahalec, both of Houston, and Mrs. Atlanta Bryant, Arcadia; brothers, Casey and James Mahalec, both of Houston; several nieces and nephews, and many friends.

Funeral services 10 a.m. Monday in the Brookside Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Lawrence E. Kelm officiating. Interment Brookside Memorial Park.
