August T. "Rock" Machalec, passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2001.

Mr. Machalec was born February 5, 1935 in Flatonia, Texas to August F. Machalec and Annie Basta Machalec.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Betty Machalec, Katy, Tx; sons, Mark Machalec and wife, Debbie, Sugar Land, Tx; Doug Machalec and wife, Kim, Katy, Tx; sister, Margie Cernosek, Houston, Tx; grandchildren: Beau and Matt Warren, Alexa and Sydney Machalec, and Logan Machalec.

Friends are invited to visitation with the family from 6:00 until 9:00 Wednesday evening at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, where a Vigil Service will be held at 7:00 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 23, 2001 at St. Bartholomew The Apostle Catholic Church, 5356 Eleventh St., Katy, Tx 77493, with Father Alberta A. Maullon, Jr. celebrant. Rite of Committal will follow at Memorial Oaks Cemetery.

Serving as Pallbearers: James Janak, Mike Cernosek, James Cernosek, Ken Cernosek, Chuck Hollas and Greg Hollas.
