Obituary of Bernice Machalek, 79, of Spring, Tx, passed away on Jul. 30, 2001. She was born and raised in Grapeland, Tx. She moved to Houston in 1942 and married her husband, William in 1946. She was a loving & caring wife, mother, grandmother & aunt. She is preceded in death by her parents and 3 brothers and 6 sisters. She is survived by her loving husband, William; 2 daughters, Joann Allison & husband, Paul; Edna Minter & husband, Dean; brothers, E.F. Smith & wife, Shirley; C.W. Smith & wife, Clarise; aunt, Edna Bonds & husband Willard; niece, Kay McClellan & several more nieces & nephews; 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Wed. 8/1/2001 from 5pm to 9pm at Calvary Hill Funeral Home Chapel. Service will be held Thur. 8/2/2001 at 10:00 am at First Baptist Church of Spring Forest 22703 Aldine Westfield Rd., Spring, TX 77373. Committal will follow at Denson Cemetery at 3:30 pm in Grapeland, Tx. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Northeast Hospice Services, Humble.
