Tuesday April 1, the final rites were held in Shiner for Mrs. Vaclav Machart, 78. Rosary was recited at the funeral home Monday March 31 and Rev. Stanley J. Petru officiated at the funeral. Burial was at the Shiner Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers were her grandsons, August A., George, Melvin, Jimmie and Marvin Machart, and Otto Fikac. The deceased was born in Bohemia, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Riha. They came here in 1890 and settled near Praha. In 1893 the deceased was married to Vaclav Machart in the Praha Catholic Church. Survivors include her husband, three daughters and seven sons: Mrs. Jim (Millie) Fikac, Mrs. John (Mary) Siegel; Mrs. Otto (Rosie) Nemec, Corpus Christi; Jim and August, Shiner; John of Ganado, Frank at Hallettsville, Raymond, Bohumil and Bill, of El Campo, 54 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren. One Brother, Frank Riha, lives in North Dakota. Preceding her to the grave were two sisters, Mrs. Frank (Annie) Machart, Mrs. Magdalena Novak, three brothers Martin Riha, Peter and Vaclav Riha; also two sons, Stanley and Martin Riha.
