Anton P. Machu, 93, died Tuesday, March 8, 1994 at a local hospital. A farmer and lifetime resident of Granger, he was a member of Granger Brethren Church. He was married to Millie Kveton Machu who preceded him in death on June 1, 1986. Survivors include daughter, Sadie Blaha and husband, Daniel of Taylor, son Darwin Machu and wife, Nancy of Austin, sister Bertha Kopecky of Bay City, brother, Raymond Machu of Granger, four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers. Prayer service will be Thursday, 7pm at Condra Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be Friday, March 11, 1994 at 10 am at Granger Brethren Church with the Rev. Dan Marek officiating. Interment will be in the Machu Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Larry Raesz, Albin Machu, Daniel Blaha, Jr., Gregg Machu, Bobbie Roten, and Albin Machu, Jr. Memorials may be given to Granger Brethren Church or charity of choice.
