With deep regret we make this announcement to friends and neighbors that God chose to call to him our beloved Father, Grandfather and Great-grandfather:
who, after a long illness, died on March 18, 1944, having reached the age of 86 years, 8 months and 27 days. He was born on June 20, 1857 in Vsetin, Moravia. He came to America on December 25, 1880. He married in 1881. The first two years he lived in Hallettsville in Lavaca County. In 1883 he moved to Williamson County and lived near Granger for 22 years. Then, with his family, he moved near Taylor, where he lived until his death. He is survived by seven sons and one daughter, twenty grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Four children preceded him, as well as one brother and two sisters. He was laid to rest in the Taylor City Cemetery. We wish to thank Rev. Barton for conducting the service in the funeral home as well as the cemetery. We want to thank the choir and the friends who sent flowers. We also want to thank all the friends and neighbors who were there to help us in our time of grief. He was a charter member of Komensky Lodge No 20 in Granger. Those left to mourn him are sons Paul L., Frank, John and Raymond of Taylor, Joseph of San Antonio and Emil of Austin, daughter Albina Spacil of Houston, son-in-law Albert W.
