Paul Ludwig Machu Succumbs Thursday; Funeral Saturday

Paul Ludwig Machu, 76 died at his home in Taylor late Thursday afternoon. He was a retired farmer and member of the Brethren Church.

He was born in Czechoslovakia and came to the United States February 2, 1883, settling in Granger. In 1904 he moved to Coupland and lived there until he moved to Taylor. In 1905 he married Miss Rozie Stasny, who survives him.

Survivors include his wife; one son, Joe V. Machu of Galena Park, on daughter, Mrs Annie Barnett of Clover Leaf, on sister, Mrs. Albina Spacil of Houston; six brothers, Raymond Machu, Frank Machu, John Machu & Ed Machu all of Taylor, Joe Machu of San Antonio and Emil Machu of Austin, and eight grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:00 am from the Condra Memorial Chapel in Taylor with the Rev. Gordon Hejl of Granger officiating. Interment will be in the Taylor City Cemetery.

Nephews will be pallbearers.
