Deceased sister Theresa Machu was born January 19, 1861 in Senice near Vsetin, Moravia, Czechoslovakia. She came to America February 2, 1882, after her husband Paul M. Machu and settled with him near Granger, Texas in Williamson County, where she lived for 22 years. After which she moved to Taylor, Texas where she lived with her son and her family 29 years until her death.

She was a charter member of Lodge Komensky #20 SPJST, and also local 187 CSPS and the Czech-Brethren Congregation in Granger and Taylor and she was a member to her death in the lodge and congregation. She died March 1, 1933 at age 72, 1 month and 12 days.
