Winnie Machu, 83, Taylor, died Thursday, June 23, 1988 in Johns Community Hospital. Mrs. Machu was a member of the Taylor Brethren Church and had been a resident of the Taylor are for the greater part of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Rudolph Machu on Aug. 11, 1976. A family prayer service will be held Saturday at 7:30pm at Condra Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2pm at Condra Memorial Chapel with the Rev. James Hejl officiating. Burial will be in Taylor City Cemetery. Survivors include three daughters, Melba Gene Roepke, Lorene Machu of Taylor and Mildred O'Brien of Round Rock; three sons, Eugene E. Machu, Johnnie F. Machu and Howard P. Machu of Taylor, five sisters, Martha Beck, Frances Tomancak, Lillie Tomancak of Taylor, Milady Cantrell of Fort Worth, Otillie Simcik of Round Rock, Margaret Vrazel of Buckholts; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
