Funeral services for Johnnie R. Naiser, 73, of La Grange were held April 25 at Koenig & Strickland Funeral Home in La Grange with Msgr. Ben Mazurkiewicz officiating. Burial followed at Halamicek's near Fayetteville. He died April 23, in La Grange. He was born April 26, 1926 in Fayette County, Tx., the son of Richard and Otillia (Bohac) Naiser. He married Dorothy Jane Halamicek on Oct 30, 1970 in Shelby. He was a farmer and rancher, member of Farm Bureau, past director for Colorado Valley Telephone Co-op and affiliated with St John's Catholic Church in Fayetteville. He served in the US Air Force during World War II. He was preceded in death by his parents, 5 brothers and a sister. Survivors include 2 daughters, Kathryn Naiser of Austin, Barbara and husband Tim Rackley of La Grange; 5 step-children, Marvin Schneider of Mullins Prairie, Jeff Schneider and wife Melissa of La Grange, Ted Schneider, Jackie Miller and husband Dave and Becky Corn, all of Fayetteville; 4 sisters, Alma Holub of Schulenburg, Annie and husband Douglas Thrash of Houston, Martha Heinrich of High Hill, Edna Neiser of Columbus; 2 grandchildren; 9 step-grandchildren.
