New Taiton -- Viola Vaclavik Naiser, 91, of New Taiton, died Friday, Aug. 31, 2001.

She was born May 7, 1910, in Floresville, to the late John and Hermina Pavlicka Vaclavik. She was a homemaker and a member of St. John Catholic Church in Taiton. She was a member of the KJZT Society, St. John's Altar Society, VFW Ladies Auxiliary and Sunshine Ladies at El Campo Memorial Hospital. She was a charter member of the Taiton Home Demonstration Club for 71 years and was a vocalist with the El Camp Czech Singers.. She served as a 4-H leader and as a judge in the Home Economics dept. at the Wharton County Youth Fair.

Survivors: sons, Donald D. Naiser of Taiton, Joe E. Naiser of Yoakum and Fred J. Naiser of Rome, Ga.; sisters, Laura Poncik and Lillian Young, both of Houston; 13 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: husband, Joe F. Naiser; parents; sisters, Emma Murphy and Albina Sisk; brothers, Bill Vaclavik and Emil Vaclavik; and grandson, Stephen Naiser.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Sunday at Triska Funeral Home chapel. A rosary will be recited at 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home chapel. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. John Catholic Church, the Rev. Joseph Koebel officiating.Burial will be at St. John Catholic Cemetery.

Memorials: St. John's Catholic Church or Sunshine Ladies at El Campo Memorial Hospital.
