El Campo -- William "Bill" Naiser, 80, of El Campo, died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2002. He was born Nov. 30, 1918, in Taiton, to the late John J. and Sophia Lidiak Naiser. He was a farmer and a member of St. Philip's Catholic Church. He was a member of Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus, American Legion, K.J.T., and Beefmaster Breeder Universal. He served in World War II as a Flight Engineer-B-17, Flying Fortress-772nd, Bomb Squadron, 463rd Bomb group and 38 bombing missions. He received four Air Medals, Distinguished Flying Cross with three Oak Leaf Clusters and Battle Star with four Oak leaf clusters. Survivors: wife, Hilda Sebesta Naiser. Preceded in death by: sisters, Annie Naiser, Edith Mazoch, Mary Dluhos and Sophie Fucik; brothers, Jerome, Adolph, Edward, John and Richard Naiser; and parents. Visitation will be 10 a.m. today at Triska Funeral Home chapel. A wake service will be 7 p.m. tonight at the chapel. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Philip's Catholic Church, the Rev. Thu Nguyen officiating. Burial will be at St. John's Cemetery with full military honors under the Auspices of the American League Post 251. Triska Funeral Home, El Campo, 979-543-3681.
