Funeral services for Lillie Marie Nitschke, 78, of Kay were held July 18 at the Schmidt Funeral Home Chapel in Katy. Deacon William C. Wagner officiated. A graveside service was held at the St. John's Catholic Cemetery in Fayetteville. Mrs. Nitschke died July 15 in Bellville. Born May 28, 1920 in Fayetteville, she is the daughter of Anton and Mary (Kaderka) Gajdusek. She married Wallace Herbert Nitschke on November 2, 1947 in Stamford and moved to Katy in 1948. She was a member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church. Survivors include her children, Kenneth and Moneica Koehn of Baytown, Jim and Lisa Nitschke of Conroe and Elaine Nitschke of Hosuton; grandchildren, Jason and Tina Koehn, Keneica Koehn and Kyle Nitschke; a great-grandchild, Taylor Ray Koehn; her mother, Marg Gajdusek of Sealy; sisters-in-law, Bernice Johnson of Conroe and Lillian Nitschke of Fayetteville. She was preceded in death by first husband Richard Koehn; second husband, Wallace H. Nitschke in 1994; her father, Anton Gajdusek; and her brother, Rudolph Gajdusek. Funeral services were held under the direction of the Schmidt Funeral Home of Katy.
