CAROLINE (JUERGENS) NITSCHMANN

We are gathered here this afternoon to pay our last tributes to Mrs. Caroline Mathilda Anna, Nee Juergens, Nitschmann, who passed away a little past 10:30 last Tuesday evening, May 22, 1956 at Youen's Hospital here in Weimar.

She had entered the hospital on May 15th and was operated on May 17, 1956. All things seemed to have been going well until the 22nd when she was called to her reward.

Mrs. Nitschmann was born to Mr. and Mrs. John Juergens of Content, Colorado County, Texas on May 29, 1902. To this family, along with Mrs. Nitschmann, were given two brothers: Mr. August Juergens of Weimar and Mr. Henry Juergens of San Antonio; and one sister: Mrs. Frieda Breithaupt of New Bielau. All are with us today.

Having been baptized and confirmed in the Evangelical Church of New Bielau, she married Mr. Henry Nitschmann, Jr. on October 25, 1923. To this family, a son and a daughter were given: Mr. Hilbert Nitschmann of Houston and Mrs. Clara Mae Davenport of Houston. Along with these survivors are six grandchildren: Linda, Sandra and Thomas Nitschmann, Durinda and Mitzi Davenport.

Mrs. Nitschmann was a life long member of this community. She lived with us and shared her life with us for 53 years, 11 months, and 23 days.

She is survived by many relatives and a host of friends.

Rev. Frank Henry Horak, Jr. performing the service.
