Funeral services for Harold Alfred Noack, 79, of Giddings were held Sunday, Aug. 25 [2002] at 2 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Serbin. Burial was in the church cemetery. The Rev. Michael Buchhorn officiated. Noack died Aug. 22 [2002] at Fayette Memorial Hospital. Born April 10, 1923 in Serbin, he was the son of Herman and Flora (Driessner) Noack. He married Edna Mertink Nov. 7, 1948. He was a former pipe fitter and worked for Chemical. Survivors include his wife, Edna Noack of Serbin; son, Gene Noack and wife Cathy of Houston; daughter, Kathy Lohberg and husband Vic of Tomball; grandchildren, Brandon Noack of Dallas and fiancé Stephanie Holan of Austin, Blake Noack of Houston and Nicholas and Lindsey Lohberg, both of Tomball; two sisters, Clara Luebner of Houston and Elsie Mitschke of Serbin; and sisters-in-law, Hattie Mutschink and Adele Becker and husband Elbert, all of Serbin. Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home of Giddings was in charge of arrangements.
