She was born July 4, 1918, in Smiley, to the late Oscar and Martha Addison Bingham. She was co-owner of Novak's Café in Runge and was a member of First Baptist Church in Runge. She was a member of the Runge Museum Society and of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, Post No. 9189 in Runge. Survivors: husband, Joe Novak; daughter, Peggy Loos of Victoria; son, Kenneth Novak of Alpine; sisters, Faye Shock of Victoria and Aleene Gohlke of Runge; brothers, Bill Bingham of Pettus and Robert Bingham of Kenedy; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by: parents; sisters, Ethel Adkins, Bertha Gisler, Otha Hoefling, Jessie Novak, Thelma Rodgers and Lila Mae Merritt; brothers, Alvin Bingham, James Bingham and Leonard Bingham; and one grandson, Mark Sullivan. Visitation was 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Janssen Funeral Home chapel in Runge. Services will be 2:30 p.m. today at the funeral home chapel, the Rev. John Hall officiating.
