Waco Tribune Herald January 4, 2002 Frances Wizig Novy, 87, died Jan 3, 2002. Graveside services will be at 12 p.m. Jan. 4, 2002 at Congregation Agudath Jacob Cemetery in Waco. Frances Novy was born and reared in Waco. Frances graduated in 1936 from Baylor University with a degree in Business Administration. For over 30 years Frances and Hymie worked side by side at Novy's Department Store in Waco. Along with retailing, which she enjoyed, she tooka delight in cooking for family and friends, especially during the holidays. She was a member of Congregation Agudath Jacob, where she served for many years as Sisterhood treasurer. Frances moved to Houston in 1997. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hyman Bill Novy; parents, Dave and Emma Wizig; sister, Evelyn Deutsch; and brother, Maynard G. Wizig. Frances is survived by her loving children, Dr. Stanley Novy and wife Dr. Diane Novy, Lester Butch Novy and David Novy; grandchildren, Craig Novy, Barry Novy, Mara and Jeremy Rabinowitz; sister-in-law, Rose Wizig, Zelda Novy and Celia Simons; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in Waco and Houston. The family is grateful to the staff at Seven Acres for their devotion and care. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Seven Acres Senior Care Services, The I.L.
