Charles Nowak, 85, died Tuesday, May 27, 1997.

Mr. Nowak was retired from Brocksteins, Inc, after 35 years of service. He was a charter member of Knights of Columbus Council 2917, a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church for 20 plus years.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sudie Nowak of Houston. Daughter: Marjorie Nowak-Rivette of Houston. Sisters: Natalie Bennett of Brazoria, Texas, Ella Mae Hizenski and husband Jesse of Williamsburgh, VA., Florence Sivcoski and husband Felix of Houston.

A vigil will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, May 29, 1997 at Pat H. Foley Funeral Home, THe Knights of Columbus Rosary will follow at 6:30 p.m.

The Funeral Liturgy will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 30, 1997 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 3600 Brinkman, Msgr. T.A. Wendland celebrant. The Rite of Christian Burial will be in Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
