Shiner Gazette 12 Dec 1996 Louis Beale Null, age 73 years, 1 month and 28 days of Gonzales passed away Sunday, December 1, 1996. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4 at the Buffington Funeral Home in Gonzales with the Rev. Clint Lowry officiating. Burial was held at the Pilgrim Cemetery under the direction of Buffington Funeral Home, Gonzales. The pallbearers were Lee Baker, Ray Baker, Ken Paris, Floyd Hurst, Charles Kitzman and Bruce Baker. Acting as honorary pallbearers were the VFW Post No. 4817, Carl Friedrich, Ben Wallace, Emmett Baker and Barney Martin. He was born Oct. 7, 1923 in Gonzales to the late Oscar Sr. and Mary Beale Null. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Mr. Null was a retired oil field worker and was a member of the Memorial Heights Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Bertha Baker Null; one son, John Frankenhauser of Florida; one sister, Essie Halliberton of Gonzales; one brother, Oscar Null Jr.; four grandchildren; and four great- grandchildren. Mr. Null was preceded in death by his parents.
