Jo Lynn Oeding, 56, of La Grange died Mar 11 2002 at her residence.

Funeral services were held Thurs Mar 14 2002 at 10 AM in Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Hostyn with Msgr Stanley Petru officiating. Burial was in the Hostyn Catholic Cemetery.

Born June 28 1945 in La Grange, she was the daughter of Henry and Edna Knebel Kruppa. She married Harvey Oeding in Hostyn Nov 21 1964. She was employed by KJT since 1979. She was a member of the KJT Society, the KJZT, Living Rosary and Confraternity of Christian Mothers.

She served on the board of her church and as parish council secretary. She was an Eucharistic Minister since 1984, a C. C. D. teacher at Holy Rosary for 18 years, served on the board of directors of the Texas Organizations of Czech Ancestry, Fraternal Insurance Counselors Section of the Texas Fraternal Congress, worked as a volunteer for the Knights of Columbus and other organizations.

Survivors include her husband of 37 years, Harvey Oeding of La Grange, one daughter, Kelly Oeding of Austin; one son, Kevin Oeding and fiancee Katherine Greenwood of Dallas; mother Edna Kruppa of La Grange; brother and sister-in-law, David and Mary Kruppa of Huntsville.

She was preceded in death by her father, Henry Kruppa.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Bluebonnet Youth Ranch, Holy Rosary Church Building Fund, KJT Activity and Fraternal Center at Box 297 , La Grange, or the Circle of Life Hospice, 1495 West Hwy 71, Suite K, La Grange.

Koenig and Strickland Funeral Home of La Grange was in charge of arrangements.
