Noel J. Ohrt, 75, of Victoria, died Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2002.

He was born July 28, 1927, in Victoria, to the late Adolph J. and Caroline Jaschke Ohrt. He was owner of Noel Ohrt Dozer Service and a Catholic. He was a lifetime member of the V.F.W.

Survivors: sisters, Roxanne Salziger and Mildred Preiss, both of Victoria, and Janet Bitterly of Cuero; and brothers, Toby Ohrt and Donald "Duck" Ohrt, both of Victoria.

Preceded in death by: parents; sister, Joyce Petering; and brothers, Roland Ohrt, B.C. Ohrt and Neil Ohrt.

A rosary was recited 7 p.m. Thursday at Colonial Funeral Home.

Services will be 10 a.m. today at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Meyersville, the Rev. Michael Petering officiating. Burial with full military honors, under the auspices of Victoria Veterans Council, VFW, CWV, DAV, American Legion, Marine Corps League, the Military Order of the Purple Heart, Crossroads Ex-POWs and the Military Order of the World Wars will be at Meyersville Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Dean Ohrt, Dale Salziger, John Bitterly, Toby Ohrt Jr., Garry Preiss and Jay Ohrt.

Honorary pallbearers: all nieces and nephews.

Memorials: St. Peter and Paul Church Building Fund or Mission Valley Volunteer Fire Department.
