Wake up ginners and get ready for the people are already picking cotton.

Sorry to hear about so many sick people around here.

There were two funerals here last Saturday. Chas. Olsowsky's two year old boy died and was buried in the St. John cemetery. John Zapalac, Jr. of Velehrad died Friday and was buried Saturday in the Praha cemetery. He left a wife with five little children.

A big fire was close to Moravia last Thursday. A. Worsand's barn was on fire.

John Rektorik of Praha and Fr. Rektorik and J. E. Jalufka spent a few days in Corpus.

Misses Frances and Lillian Jalufka attended church in Praha Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. E. Gieptner have been visiting their home folks.

There was a wedding at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. Kahanek of St. John last Tuesday. Their daughter Jennie was married to Louis Berger.

There is going to be a grand ball in Novohrad on the 3rd of August.

There is going to be a ball in Breslau on the 6th. Everybody is cordially invited.

I heard there is going to be a grand ball in Moravia on the 10th of August, but I am not sure.

Boys and girls remember Aug. 15th, the big day in Praha.
