She was born February 26, 1912 in Taiton, Tx to Frank Gurecky and Theresia G. Vacek Gurecky. A long time resident of Matagorda County, she was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church and the Altar Society in Blessing and a member of the K.J.Z.T. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law: Theresa & Lawrence Hluza of West Columbia, Marilyn Hollas, Barbara & George Manna, and Jane LaCroix, all of Bay City; by her sons and daughter-in-law: Leonard Orsak of Goliad and Tommy & Betty Orsak of Bay City; and by 15 Grandchildren & 27 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Patrick Orsak, her son, George W. Orsak, and her beloved sister, Sophie Gurecky. The Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, June 19, 2003 at the Taylor Bros. Funeral Chapel with Deacon Raul Castillo. The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 20, 2003 at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Blessing, Tx with Rev. Samuel Appiasi officiating.
