Taylor Daily Press February 3, 2003 He was born May 27, 1922 in San Antonio, Texas the sone of Alphonse and Lestie(Holubec) Oslick. His family moved to the San Gabriel area where he remained the rest of his life. He graduated from San Gabriel High School. Oslick was a veteran of WWII and enlisted in the US Army Air Corps in 1942. He was a member of the Air Corps 80th Troop Squadron and was crew chief of a C-47 troop carrier. He proudly served his country in England and Frances and was honorably discharged in 1945. On January 24, 1947 he married Gussie Rieger. He was employed at Alcoa operations in Rockdale for 28 years and farmed and ranched in San Gabriel. He was a member of San Gabriel Christian Church and the VFW in Thorndale. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Gussie, two sons,
Dough Oslick and wife Renee of Thorndale, and Gary Oslick and wife
Jackie of San Gabriel, four grandchildren, one brother T.J. Oslick
