El Campo Leader-News 4 Jun 2003 Lillian Pavlu Padgett, 76, of Seguin, died suddenly of natural causes on Monday, June 2, 2003. Mrs. Padgett was born on May 12, 1927 in El Campo to the late Charlie and Adina Beal Pavlu. She was a longtime resident of Seguin where she taught at St. James Catholic School and worked for the Seguin Independent School District. She was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers. Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Pat Padgett; sons, Zachary Padgett, Zan Padgett and Patrick Padgett; daughter, Zoe Padgett Bedford; nine grandchildren; brothers, Leo Pavlu, Norbert Pavlu, Charlie Pavlu and Lawrence Pavlu; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Rosary and mass will be held today, Wednesday, June 4, at 4 p.m. at St. James Catholic Church in Seguin with Msgr. Gerald Hubertus officiating. Mrs. Padgett will lie in state at Goetz Funeral Home today, Wednesday from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. There will be a visitation today, Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. at Triska Funeral Home. Graveside services and interment will be held on Thursday, June 5 at 11 a.m. at Holy Cross Cemetery in El Campo. Local arrangements are under the direction of Triska Funeral Home.
