This obit was translated from Czech to English Announcement of Death and Thankfullness With deep grief and depression we are announcing to all friends and acquaintances, the Lord God chose to call to himself our precious wife, mother and grandmother, Anna Palla Born Vavra, who her earthly pilgrimage completed on Thursday night, 9th day of January, year 1922 following a long term of illness. She passed away at the age of 39 years, eleven months and 16 days. She was born in year 1883 at Bila Hora and in year 1898, she married Martin Palla at Badens Creek, where they lived for 21 years. In years 1920 they moved to Williamson County, settling near Taylor and last year moved to Granger, where she ended her final moments on 10th of January. She was accompanied by procession to the railroad station in Granger and by train taken to Smithville, and on the 11th of January was taken by procession to the Evangelical Cemetery at Badens Creek, where she was laid to her eternal rest next to the grave of her daughter who had preceded her three years earlier. Cordially we thank all, who in her suffering illness, visited and encouraged her, also many times accept our sincere word of thanks to Rev. Mr. Barton for words of comfort and songs in the home of the grieving, in the House of God and at the Cemetery. Also we cordially thank all for the wreaths that beautified her bed. Dear wife, mother and grandmother, peacefully sleep in your bed. Rest in peace! It will always be for us a memorial day, when we always think of you. Survivors remaining: Martin Palla, husband; children: Amalie, Mary, Anna and Elsa; granddaughter: Leona, and three preceded her in death, Zophie, Betty and Jerome; her parents had died, father 24 years earlier and mother 8 years before; brothers John, Josef, and Frank Vavra; brothers-in-laws: Tom, John, Frank, Charles Palla; sisters-in-laws: Johana Holuec, Rosalie Kallina, Marie Volcik and Frances Lastovica. She also leaves one uncle, a male and female cousin. We give you one final farewell: "God be with you, our precious wife, mother
