today at St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Rev. Gary Janak officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Desoto -- Myron L. Patek, 45, of Desoto, and formerly of Yoakum, died Monday, May 21, 2001.

He was born Sept. 7, 1955, in Yoakum, to John William and Virginia Pavlas Patek of Yoakum. He was a corporate operation manager at Hutton Communications Inc. and a Catholic.

Survivors: wife, Cheryl Vinklarek Patek; sons, Tim Patek and Jeff Patek, both of Desoto; parents; sisters, Mary Mayes of Victoria, Cathy Stubbs of Portland, Ginny Marek of Bastrop and Theresa Van Sickle of Katy; brothers, Mark Patek and Greg Patek, both of Shiner and Johnny Patek of Yoakum.

A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. tonight at Buffington Funeral Home chapel.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Rev. Gary Janak officiating.

Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Buffington Funeral Home, Yoakum, 361-293-2333.
