Houston - Edward J. Patlovany, 83, of Houston, formerly of Weimar, died Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2003.

He was born Feb. 6, 1920, in Colorado County, to the late John and Emily Kubena Patlovany. He was a route salesman for Pearl Beer and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and vice president of Credit Union Local III.

Survivors: wife, Adela Christ Patlovany; daughter, Marcy Beerman of Hempstead; sons, Eddie Patlovany Jr. of Friendswood and Sylvan "James" Patlovany of Hallettsville; sisters, Georgie Hartensteiner of Dallas and Josie Baca of Weimar; brother, Raymond Patlovany of Houston; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: parents; sister, Evelyn Patlovany; and brother, Steve Patlovany.

Visitation will be 3:30 p.m. today at Kubena Funeral Home chapel.

A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. tonight at the funeral home chapel and 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. John Peters officiating.

Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Kubena Funeral Home, Hallettsville, 361-798-3271.
