Port Lavaca Wave 3-20-02 Hazel Louise Patrick, 86, formerly of Port Lavaca, died March 11, 2002. Patrick was born March 19, 1915 in Rogers, the daughter of the late Thomas Eager and Dora Underwood Eager. She was married to the late Rudy Patrick. Patrick was a homemaker and a member of Alamo Heights Baptist Church for many years before moving to Boerne two years ago. In addition to her parents and husband, Patrick was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty McCarn. Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Gaertner of Huntsville; three sons, George F. Patrick of Austin, Bob Patrick of Belton and John Patrick of Victoria; a sister, Elora Rogers of Port Lavaca; 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 14, 2002 at the Alamo Heights Baptist Church in Port Lavaca with Rev. Anthony "Casey" DuBose officiating. Burial followed in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Victoria. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Richardson-Colonial Funeral Home at 123 Newlin in Port Lavaca. Note: The surname "Petrek" was change to "Patrick" by the Father of George (Petrek)
